The Alberta Junior Female Hockey League is excited to announce that our very own co-head coach (of the Lethbridge Eagles), Erin O’Toole, was named the head coach of the South Black team for the 2023 Alberta Challenge. The Alberta Challenge is a core Hockey Alberta Female Development program that provides an opportunity to progress further into players and staff careers in hockey. We would like to congratulate Erin O’Toole on her accomplishments in our league so far, and we imagine this position with the Alberta Challenge will be another stepping stone in making a difference in hockey.
This year, the Alberta Challenge will take place in Red Deer at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre from Wednesday, May 3rd to Sunday, May 7th. The challenge works by dividing the league into North and South regions, with three teams selected from each region. The process will begin in March 2023 with regional camps taking place April 7-9 in Cochrane and Beaumont. If you would like further information about this years’ Alberta Challenge, please check out: http://bit.ly/3Y9xygI
Thank you Erin O’Toole for all your work in our league so far, and congratulations on your accomplishments!
