The wait is finally over—hockey season is back! The Alberta Junior Female Hockey League (AJFHL) is proud to kick off the 2025–26 season, bringing together eight teams across North and South divisions for another year of fast-paced, competitive hockey.
This year, each team will battle through a 30-game regular season, testing their skill, endurance, and determination every step of the way. From returning veterans to fresh new talent, the AJFHL continues to provide a platform for athletes from Midget AAA, Elite, A, ACAC, and U Sports backgrounds who want to compete at a high level while balancing school, work, and life outside the rink.
What to Expect This Season Fans can look forward to:
Tight Division Races – With every game mattering, the standings will be hotly contested right from the first puck drop.
Returning Champions – The defending Edmonton Wolves are back and hungry to repeat, but every team is determined to take their shot at the crown.

Community & Connection – More than just hockey, the league is about building friendships, teamwork, and opportunities for women in sport.
Opening Weekend The season gets underway on Saturday, September 27, with four exciting matchups across Alberta. From Lethbridge to Edmonton to Sherwood Park, fans will get their first glimpse of what this season has in store.
